Looks like it’s the same game, just comes in a bundle with the sale of the DS if you buy it in teal.
As you can see from this website it really has all the same features and the dogs that are available are 6 of the most popular breeds from all the other three games.

I have both best friend and chihuahua. So the difference is you can get every item in best friend and it has all 6 of the most popular breeds to start off with.It also comes with a special mettalic rose ds lite with the paw print on it.Nintendo doesn’t make it anymore so if you find the bundle you will be very lucky cause they are hard to find.It also comes with the teal orignal ds but you can only buy that one on ebay for about 450 same with the ds lite!!!! Amazon might have some!
